Men’s Cross Country took the trip to Colgate University this past weekend to compete in the Patriot League Championship race. The Bison maintained a balanced effort throughout the race to keep pace with the leaders and finished fourth on the leaderboard, with five runners finishing between 20 and 30 minutes.
Henry Didden ’26 was the highest-placing Bison of the week, finishing 22nd with a time of 25:38.9. Peter Sorensen ’25 made a name for himself after not competing in the League Championship last year, snagging 24th place with a time of 25:46.3, and right behind him was fellow junior Bobby Lynam in 25th place with a time of 25:47.1.
Ben Santos ’25 finished 28th, 12 spots behind his impressive finish last year, but he was a huge help in bringing the Bison into fourth place.
“Our mindset going in was to run our race,” Santos said. “We ran Colgate’s course earlier in the year so we knew it was going to be hilly. The plan was to get out comfortably and attack the back half of the race, which is exactly what we did as we moved up from sixth to fourth.”
Bison Cross Country is up next on Nov. 10 when they compete in the Mid-Atlantic Regionals.
