Despite an early lead, the Bison Men’s Lacrosse team fell 17-10 on the road at Marist. Although the Orange and Blue committed fewer turnovers and had more shots on goal, few of those shots sank and they had a hard time breaking Marist’s momentum at times.
The Bison started strong, scoring three straight goals in 30 seconds. The first came from Cam Doolan ’25, the second from John Young ’26 and the third from Michael Meyer ’26. However, not long after, Marist responded with their own 5-0 run, putting them up 5-3 three minutes into the second quarter.
Connor Davis ’25 eventually scored to break up the run, but Marist tallied 6 more goals, while the Bison scored 1 from Peter Grandolfo ’27, before the end of the half. Heading into the 3rd quarter, the score was 11-5.
The first goal of the second half was scored by Davis to bring the Bison within 5 points, but soon enough Marist secured four more goals to put them up 15-6.
The final score was 17-10, with the final four goals for the Bison coming from Luke Brunner ’27, Chris Begier ’26, Meyer and Doolan.
Men’s Lacrosse plays next at home on Saturday, Feb. 17 against Dartmouth at noon.
