On Saturday, Women’s Lacrosse hosted Colgate at Graham Field. The game was close the entire time, but the Bison slipped away with a 15-13 victory.
Taylor Kopan ’24 scored four of her career-high of five goals to lead Bucknell’s second-half charge. Megan Krestinski ’26 also set a career-high with seven points on four goals and three assists.
Other Bison who made an impact were Taylor McClain ’25, who scored a goal and added three assists, and Emily Baird ’24 and Katie Browne ’26 adding two goals each.
Goalie Colleen Kazanjian ’25 made eight saves, including two huge ones in the late third quarter to spark her team’s comeback.
With 7:07 remaining in the game, Krestinski ripped a shot assisted by Braeden Siverson ’27 to tie the game 13-13. Moments later, Kopan added two insurance goals to give the Bison their first two-goal lead.
Throughout the game, Bucknell narrowly led the stats sheet in scoring 32-31 and draw control 18-14. Additionally, Siverson led the Bison with six draw controls, while Krestinski and Catherine Dineen ’26 each caused three turnovers.
This Saturday, April 13th, the Bison will travel to Washington, D.C. to face off against American University at noon.
