Bison Men’s Golf finished tenth overall at The Goat shooting 891(+89) through three rounds, including a final round 292(+8) as a team, elevating them up two spots in the 15 team field.
The Orange and Blue took on the US Naval Academy’s course over the weekend. The fifteen-team field included Patriot League rivals Navy, Loyola Maryland and Lafayette, all of whom placed above the Bison in Annapolis.
Hayden Quinn ’27 led the way for the Orange and Blue with his consistency throughout the weekend, shooting 73-74-74 for a final total of +8. Quinn found success on the front nine, shooting eagles on hole five during round one and hole three during the third round. Michael Rudnick ’25 was also towards the front for the Bison with an upward trajectory throughout the weekend, going 76-73-72 through his three rounds, finishing just +1 on Sunday, tied for twelfth overall among individuals for the third round. Jack Hartman ’28, Patrick Pritsios ’28 and James Robbins ’26 rounded out the scoring for the Bison, shooting +8, +18, and +18 respectively.
The battle for the individual crown was between two Patriot League foes in Loyola Maryland junior Gustavo Rangel and Navy junior Jack Tarzy. Rangel went into the final round in fifth place, but a strong -2 round of 69 allowed him to pull away from the individual field and lead Loyola to a second-place overall finish, behind Pacific University.
The Bison continue their season next weekend at West Virginia’s Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational, running from Sept. 30 to Oct. 1.
