Bucknell Men’s Golf finished tenth overall at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational shooting a combined 915 (+51) through three rounds.
The Orange and Blue took on the Mystic Rock Golf Course in Farmington, Pa. on Monday, Sept. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 1. The tournament was hosted by West Virginia University who took home both the team and individual titles as they swept the top-three. The field also included local rivals Penn State and Robert Morris.
Patrick Pritsios ’28 was the top finisher for the Bison, shooting 72-76-76 (+8) throughout the three rounds. Pritsios had a strong start where he sank two consecutive birdies on the first two holes and was -3 through five holes. He held steady throughout the next two rounds to finish 20th overall in the field.
“It was pouring rain all week, and the course was super long. We got to have a teammate in our group, which is unusual, but it really helped make the tournament enjoyable. I did a better job this week reminding myself how lucky I am to travel and play D1 golf, which definitely kept me loose and in a good headspace,” Pritsios said.
Jack Hartman ’28 and Hayden Quinn ’27 followed up for the Orange and Blue, both shooting +11. Hartman had a strong second round where he went -3 on the back nine with an eagle on 16 to go -1 on the round, placing him in a tie for fourth best on the round. Michael Rudnick ’25 and Jake Maddaloni ’25 rounded out the scoring for the Bison hitting +25 and +40 respectively.
The Orange and Blue continue their season on Monday, Oct. 7 and Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Red Flash Invitational hosted by St. Francis at Sunnehanna Country Club.
