“The fall has gone well so far, and it has been great for a lot of players to get a lot of matches so far this fall,” Head Coach Jason Cohen said. “Nelson had a great weekend, and he has been able to play all three tournaments and get a good rhythm going.”
The Orange and Blue came out on top Friday, winning three out of four singles matches. Liam Kilmer ’27 defeated James Madison University in three sets, with Kilmer taking the second set 7-5 and dominating the third 10-1. Will Robinson ’27 also went to three sets, 6-3, 7-9 and 10-3. After his two wins on the previous days, Alapi took on Richmond to three sets, 6-4, 3-6, 10-1. This win helped the Bison team finish 7-3 in singles for the weekend and 43-6 for the season.
The Bison will continue their season Oct. 17-20 in Philadelphia at ITA regionals. “We have Amar, Adam Oscar and Brendan participating, and we are excited to face the top teams in our region,” Coach Cohen shares. “Those guys haven’t competed in a few weeks, so we’ll have to get them back into match mode in these next few weeks to get ready to go!”
