Bucknell Women’s Golf capped off its regular season at the Lehigh Invitational this past weekend. The tournament was played at the Saucon Valley Country Club, and the course proved difficult for all teams involved.
The Bison found themselves in a three-way tie for sixth place at the end of the event, even with Monmouth and Cal State Northridge.
Sophia Bardunias ’28 shot a 75 in the opening round and a 79 in round two to finish the tournament at ten strokes over par, good for a tied-fourth-place finish. Nicole Yun ’27 finished second for the Bison and 11 overall with a final score of 13 over par (79-78).
Lila Smith ’27 continued her sophomore season with the third-best score on her team with a total score of 24 over par (88-80).
Tara Thomas ’25 equaled Smith’s total score with a tally of 83 in round one and 85 in round two. To round out the scoring effort for the Bison, Katrina von Behren ’28 finished at 32 strokes over par after an 87 in round 1 and an 89 in round 2.
While this tournament was the Bison’s lowest finish this season, after numerous top-five, top three and first-place finishes, the season was overwhelmingly a well-performing one.
