On Saturday, Oct. 19, Bucknell Men’s Swimming and Diving competed against Boston University at home in the Kinney Natatorium. Despite their efforts, the Bison were defeated 157.5-140.5.
Bucknell won six events on the day, with Avery Kuhn ’28, Will Hedges ’25, Finn Russell ’27 and Justin DiSanto ’25 taking home the 200 medley relay to start things off. The Bison initially trailed behind the Terriers, but DiSanto’s 20.29 anchor brought his team to the front.
Other notable wins were Chris Kopac ’25 in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyles, Jackson Vinarub ’26 in the 3-meter dive and Andy Dorsel ’25 in the 200 individual medley.
Vinarub’s 307.8 score on the 3-meter board scored the Bison 21 points, was his PR and moved him up to the #2 spot in team history.
In the one-meter board, Vinarub also finished second and Connor Thurston ’28 finished third.
This Saturday, Oct. 26, Bucknell will host the Fall Invite beginning at 12 p.m.
