After celebrating their six seniors, Bucknell Men’s Swim and Dive faced Patriot League competitor Lehigh on Saturday, Jan. 25. The Bison came up victorious in 15 of the 16 events, resulting in a 227-70 win in their final dual meet of the 2024/2025 season.
Andy Dorsel ’25 and Justin DiSanto ’25 each won two individual events. DiSanto was also a part of two winning relays, the first being the 200 medley relay alongside Shane Wynne ’26, Will Hedges ’25 and Finn Russell ’27. DiSanto also assisted in the first-place finish in the 400-yard medley with seniors Nick Shopis ’25, Ed Park ’25 and Chris Kopac ’25.
Dorsel came out on top in the 200 fly with Riley Twiss ’27 in second and Park in third. The Bison took the 1-2-3 win in the 50 free and 100 free as well.
Alex Crossing ’26 won two free events Saturday. In the 100 free, he finished with an eight-second win. He then won the 500 free, followed by Kopac in second and Twiss in third.
Kopac also collected a first-place finish in the 200 free, just .79 seconds ahead of fellow Bison Damian Czartoryjski ’28.
On the diving side, Jack Krug ’26 led with two event wins and a new PR on the three-meter board (307.95). Teammate Jackson Vinarub ’26 was close behind in second in the event.
As the day went on, the Bison continued to earn points. Event after event, the team posted big numbers. Braden Beagle ’26 won the 200 back moments before. Dorsel and Hedges took the top two spots in the 200 breast, followed by a 100 fly first-place finish from Russell and a second place finish from Czartoryjski. The 200 IM capped off the individual events with Dante Buonadonna ’28 in first and Dorsel in second.
“It was extremely nice to end my dual meet career with a team win, and I am so proud of the careers of all of my fellow seniors,” said Dorsel.
The Orange and Blue will be back in Kinney Natatorium Saturday, Feb. 1 for the Bison Invitational.
