After a busy weekend, Bucknell Men’s Golf finished in 10th place out of 14 teams at the Testudo Cup, hosted by the University of Maryland.
The Bison finished the tournament with a team score of 29-over-par. After a +11 showing on Saturday morning and a blazing 1-under combined score in the afternoon, the Bison ran out of gas with a score of +19 on Sunday.
Despite placing 10th, there were many bright spots for the Orange and Blue. First-year phenom Jack Hartman finished 2-under-par after the 54-hole competition, which was enough to put him in a tie for fifth place individually. Hartman shot under par for the first two rounds and ended with a 4-over 76 on Sunday. Michael Rudnick ʼ25 shot an even-par 72 in Round 2, but his 77 in Round 1 and 75 in Round 3 landed him in the middle of the 78-man field with a final score of 8-over-par. Patrick Pritsios ʼ28 also had his best round Saturday afternoon, posting a 1-over-par score of 73, which was bookended by scores of 77 (5-over-par) to land him in a tie for 50th place. Close behind in a tie for 53rd was James Robbins ʼ26, who posted scores of 76, 73 and 79 to finish 12-over-par. Lastly, James Key ʼ26 and Hayden Quinn ʼ27 finished within one stroke of each other, with Key at 22-over-par and Quinn one shot behind.
After a week of rest, the Bison will be ready to take on the Rutherford Intercollegiate match in State College, Pa. this coming weekend.
