The Bison traveled to West Point, N.Y. to play Army on Saturday afternoon. The contest resulted in a 16-6 loss for the Orange and Blue, bringing the record to 6-9 overall and 2-6 in the Patriot League.
Olivia Selleck ʼ28 was able to secure her first-ever collegiate goal within the last moments of the contest. Along with Selleck, four others added their own points to the scoreboard. Caroline Sheridan ʼ26 contributed two while Alex Nesbitt ʼ26, Kat Reynolds ʼ28 and Katie Browne ʼ26 each added one of their own.
The first quarter opened with a goal from the Orange and the Blue. Sheridan scored after a feed from Nesbitt, giving the Bison the first point of the match. Army then responded with a goal of their own to tie the game. The Bison returned their own point to create a 2-1 lead with four minutes left in the first. Army ended the quarter with two more points, giving them a one-goal lead.
Army started the next quarter scoring four goals in a row before the Orange and Blue were able to find the back of the net again. Army came back with their own goal to take the lead 8-3. The remainder of the game followed suit with Army outscoring the Bison in the remaining two quarters.
The Orange and Blue closed out their season at home against Loyola on Thursday.
