Bucknell Men’s Golf concluded their season at their home course this past weekend during the Patriot League Championships. The Bison finished fourth overall due to some notable performances across all three rounds.
First-year sensation Jack Hartman capped off his incredible season with a tied fourth-place finish, shooting even par for the tournament. His consistency all season, combined with his impressive results, earned him Patriot League Rookie of the Year and a spot on the All-Patriot League First Team.
The next highest scorer for Bucknell was another first-year and Hartman’s high school teammate, Patrick Pritsios, whose finish at 4-over par for the tournament cemented him in a tie for 12th place. His play earned him All-Patriot League Second Team honors.
The consistency across three rounds from Michael Rudnick ʼ25 led him to a 6-over overall finish after rounds of 71-72-73. After a couple of frustrating performances to date, Hayden Quinn ʼ27 bounced back in a big way with a final score of 8-over par to fall into a tie for 22nd place. One stroke behind Quinn was James Robbins ʼ26 with a final score of 9-over after rounds of 73-72-74.
Lastly, after a first-round 78 and a second-round 76, junior James Key’s final round 72 brought him to 16-over par for the tournament and a 41st place finish.
The Bison’s home-course advantage and expertise were critical to this weekend’s performance. A young Bucknell team hopes to return to competition next season with more success.
