On Tuesday, Feb. 17, Vice President for Student Affairs and Fritz Family Dean of Students, Moe McGuinness, sent out an article to the student body about available resources and support at Bucknell. The email is replicated below.
“Bucknell University is defined not only by academic excellence, but by the deep sense of care that shapes our community. Our students, faculty, and staff are united by a shared commitment to supporting one another and fostering an environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
“Bucknell remains deeply committed to our students and the student experience. The safety, well-being, and success of each student are paramount. As part of that commitment, we strive to connect you with the wide array of resources available to support our community.
“Last year, we created a dedicated website addressing information, resources, and guidance related to evolving federal policies that may affect some members of our community. We are resharing this information to provide continued clarity, updates, and support.
“Part of what defines Bucknell is our enduring commitment to one another. Our shared values — mutual care and respect, civility, diversity, and compassion — guide how we live, learn, and engage as a community.
“We understand that this is a time of ongoing change, uncertainty, and complexity for many. Our campus is here to support you as you navigate these circumstances. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the Dean of Students Office, the Counseling & Student Development Center, International Student & Scholar Services, and the Office of Religious & Spiritual Life.
