Just this past semester, World’s End Coffee Co. added a location in downtown Lewisburg, joining the collection of diverse small businesses already there. World’s End describes itself as “a welcoming third space where independent artists and intimate audiences come together. Beyond great coffee, it offers a thoughtfully curated setting for live performances—music, spoken word, and creative expression—designed to foster genuine connection.” The store is in a perfect location right on Market Street next to the Campus Theatre and it adds to downtown Lewisburg perfectly.
I had the chance to finally stop in for a drink this past weekend while soaking in the nice weather on a walk with a friend. As we entered, I immediately fell in love with the cozy atmosphere and array of seating offered. The store offers a wide selection of iced and hot drinks ranging from tea and coffee to affogato and espresso tonic. Considering the heat outside, my friend elected to go with a lavender lemonade, which was perfectly refreshing, while I went for one of their specials, the cherry blossom latte, which was absolutely delicious. The prices were also seemingly reasonable in my opinion; similar to my stance in my article on Culture Coffee, I think the prices were as expected for a local coffee shop, including my choice for a milk alternative.
I tend to constantly get down on myself for choosing to visit Dunkin’ for quick grab-and-go coffees when there are so many wonderful small business coffee shops just downtown and this experience definitely solidified my commitment to appreciating the coffee shops within reach. I absolutely loved my drinks and time at World’s End and plan to return soon!
