Despite a decidedly rainy forecast last weekend, the annual Lewisburg Arts Festival saw its usual turnout of hundreds of area locals, as well as dozens of artisan and artist booths. Market Street was lined with stalls that showcased local talent in a variety of arenas— stained glass, pottery, charms, paintings, photography, handmade clothing and crochet and jewelry were just the tip of the iceberg. Food trucks of many cuisines and specialities were open for business as well; pierogis, lemonade, hot dogs and barbecue were among the most frequented stalls. Locations native to Market Street also kept their doors open. The many Lewisburg coffee shops offered hot drinks to fend against the chill of the weekend’s rain. Restaurants like Chubb’s Barbecue—new to Market Street after a recent move from food truck to dedicated dining space—served hungry festival-goers who preferred an indoor eatery.
