Wrestling closes up regular season with 23-10 triumph over Binghamton

The wrestling team finished off its regular season on a good note on Feb. 21, beating Binghamton 23-10.

The Bison won seven of its 10 matches, including wins by Paul Petrov ’16, Grim Gonzalez ’17, Bob Hauser ’14, Victor Lopez ’17, Ray Schlitt ’15, Robert Schlitt ’16, and No. 17 Joe Stolfi ’15.

The Bison started off the match by winning the first five matches, including a 13-3 major decision by Hauser in his final regular season bout. Stolfi closed off the match with a clutch 12-2 major decision to seal the deal for the Bison. Stolfi extended his current winning streak to 14, while Petrov won his seventh straight match.

The Bison finished the regular season at 10-11 overall and 5-4 in the EIWA conference. They will now start training for the EIWA Championships, which will take place on March 8-9 at Penn.
