ACE shoots and score with March Madness-themed BU After Dark

BU After Dark is one of the most exciting and cherished traditions that happens every semester, and this year’s event, hosted on Feb. 28 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., did not disappoint.

As usual, the event—hosted by Activities and Campus Events (ACE)—featured free food, including pizza, french fries, funnel cakes, and chicken fingers. In addition to all of the snacks, guests could enjoy bouncing around on several life-sized inflatables. Since this year’s BU After Dark was March Madness-themed, many of the inflatables were correspondingly basketball-related.

“There were other [inflatables] like jousting, the sports challenge, and your classic moon bounce,” ACE member Shiri Levine ’16 said.

Students also had the opportunity to play small games of basketball and other games at the event, and there were decorative crafts that students could make.

The event attracted people from all across campus. Nearly 1,200 people were in attendance this year.

“Despite the lack of face painting, this semester’s BU After Dark was great,” Kate Binder ’16 said.  “I always enjoy the funnel cake.”

BU After Dark was ACE’s final event before spring break. After break, ACE will host other events, including Chrysalis with M.C. Hammer on April 25 at 9 p.m.
