Women Golf finishes 34th in Kiawah Classic, Bernard shots team-low 243

The women’s golf team traveled to South Carolina to play in the Kiawah Island Classic, the largest collegiate tournament in the country. The tournament lasted from March 2 to March 4. In a competitive tournament, the team finished 34th of 36 teams, outplaying Richmond and Niagara.

Lauren Bernard ’14 stood out with her performance, shooting a team-low 243. She carded an 83 on March 2, an 82 on March 3, and an impressive 78 on March 4. During her final round, she made three birdies on the front nine.

Bridget Wilcox ’14, Kasha Scott ’14, Emily Timmons ’15, and Ellie McGuire ’17 also competed for the Bison. Wilcox’s best performance came in Round one with an 81, while Scott also performed well in Round one with an 83.

The team will continue tournament play on March 10-11 at the Bison Invitational at Paiute in Las Vegas.
