Sports: Fantasy Corner – Football

Who To Start:

Emmanuel Sanders, WR (DEN): Sanders finally broke out of his slump with three TDs against the Chargers in week eight. Sanders has 12 receptions and four TDs over the last two games. Continue to start Sanders at WR or FLEX, as he has become one of Peyton Manning’s top targets in the red zone.

Ben Roethlisberger, QB (PIT): In the best performance of his career, Big Ben completed 40 passes for 522 yards and six TDs last weekend. He averages 24.6 points in home games compared to 11.6 points in away games, but he will stay at home against Baltimore, whose defense just had its worst game of the season against Cincinnati.

T.Y. Hilton, WR (IND): Hilton has been on an absolute tear over the past four games, tallying 575 receiving yards. He has proved he is worth a starting WR2 or FLEX position thus far. Ride Hilton as long as you can and look for him to have another standout game against the Giants in week nine.

Golden Tate, WR (DET): With Calvin Johnson sidelined due to an ankle injury, Tate has picked up the slack for the WR core for the Lions. Tate had seven catches for 151 yards and a TD against the Falcons in week eight. With Johnson not expected back until week 10 or later, continue to start Tate as he is posting career numbers.

Who to Stick With:

Kelvin Benjamin, WR (CAR): The standout rookie underperformed in recent weeks, but did tally 12 fantasy points against Seattle. Much of Benjamin’s slide has been due to a weak offensive line and Cam Newton’s poor play, but stick with Benjamin as he has proved to be a solid third WR option.

Le’Veon Bell, RB (PIT): The running back had high expectations for this season, but has underperformed recently. Projected for almost 20 fantasy points in weeks six and seven, he totaled 139 rushing yards and zero TDs per game. However, Bell broke out of his slump in week eight with 148 total yards.

Who to Add:

Mark Ingram, RB (NO): Ingram ran wild against the Packers in week eight, going for 172 yards and a TD. Ingram has been the go-to back for the Saints so far this season. Ingram will continue to get more snaps as the season progresses, especially against the Panthers in week nine.

Sammy Watkins, WR (BUF): Watkins, the Bills’ first round draft choice, is looking like the go-to wideout everyone thought he would be, as he had 157 receiving yards and one TD in week eight against the Jets. Watkins has 12 catches for 279 yards and three TDs over his past two games.
