Nov. 2, 1974 – The Atlanta Braves trade Hank Aaron to the Milwaukee Brewers for Dave May.
Nov. 3, 1989 – Lou Piniella replaced the banned Pete Rose as the Cincinnati Reds’ manager.
Nov. 4, 1934 – Pitt ends the Detroit Lions’ seven-game shutout streak, but still lose 40-7 .
Nov. 5, 1996 –  Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is the unanimous choice as AL Rookie of Year.
Nov. 6, 1869 – In the first intercollegiate soccer game, Rutgers defeats Princeton 6-4.
