A tough weekend for volleyball resulted in a defeat by American and Navy for the Bison. The Bison first faced American on Oct. 23, where they lost 3-0. They then played a long match against Navy on Oct. 24, losing in the final set.

In the match against American, Blake Buchholz ’19 had a standout performance posting a double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs. Despite her strong performance, the Bison were unable to rally past a strong American team. The Orange and Blue’s loss to the Eagles brought their Patriot League record to 4-6.

On Oct. 24, the Bison then traveled to Annapolis, Md. to play Navy, a conference rival. In the past four meetings of these two teams, the match has gone into a full five sets. This time proved to be no different, as the Bison battled back against a strong Navy squad, alternating each set win. Ultimately, Navy prevailed and took the match 3-2.

The Bison will face Lafayette on Oct. 30 and Lehigh on Oct. 31, needing two victories to secure a spot in the Patriot League tournament.
