Casino Night brings Vegas to Lewisburg

Activities and Campus Events (A.C.E.) hosted Casino Night, its second event of the semester, on Jan. 29 at Uptown. Over 100 students attended the event in hopes of trying their gamblers’ luck and winning great prizes. Students had the option of playing craps, roulette, blackjack, and Texas hold’em against one another.

There were 10 different prize baskets, ranging from a baking basket to a fitness basket. Each basket was filled with multiple prizes that fit a specific theme.

Emily Vislosky ’18 was the lucky winner of the movie themed basket.

“I got some movies and popcorn and movie snacks like M&M’s,” Vislosky said. “It was so much fun playing poker that the prize was just an added bonus at the end of the night!”

Programming chair Madison Cooney ’18 echoed Vislosky’s positive sentiments of the night.

“The turnout of people was wonderful and I couldn’t have asked for a better team of A.C.E. helpers!” Cooney said.

A.C.E.’s next event, Saturday Night Sports, will take place Feb. 6 in the Student Space. This event plans to feature a mechanical football, great food, activities, and giveaways.
