Chapter Updates

Alpha Chi

Alpha Male raised over $5,000 for Women in Transition, a center that provides services for victims of domestic violence. Our National Consultant will be here March 31-­April 5, and our recruitment event, “Keepin’ it Cool with Alpha Chi,” is April 10th.

Alpha Delta Pi

Alpha Delta Pi initiated three new members this week. We also had a Leadership Consultant from Nationals come and visit us, and we are looking forward to Pizza Phi with ADPi and Preppy Games coming up later this spring.

Alpha Xi Delta

We are doing AmaXing Race for our spring philanthropy event, on April 24. April is Autism Awareness Month, so we will putting up posters and making things light blue for autism awareness. We are also participating in an Autism Speaks Walk in Allentown, Pa. on April 16. Our team goal was to raise $5,000 and we have raised $6,088 so farWe hope to raise even more in the coming days of the walk. Our Nationals Consultant visited in the beginning of March and helped us with our recruitment events and with our new executive board. We will be having our signature event April 7 and we are looking forward to meeting all of the PNMs.

Chi Omega

“Cookie Dough with Chi O” is on April 4 from 5:30-­7:30 p.m. in the Terrace Room. We’re excited to meet the PNMs! “Kickin’ it with Chi O” is on April 10 at 12 p.m. at the Intramural Fields. People can sign up in teams of five ($10 per person), and proceeds go to the Make-­A-­Wish Foundation. We’ll be tabling March 28-April 1 and encourage the University community to consider donating to our wish goal. Details are on the event’s Facebook page.

Delta Gamma

Delta Gamma held a puppy cuddle booth on March 2 to support Susquehanna Service Dogs and Anchor Splash. The event raised $463.27. This money will go towards veterinary costs for one service dog and X-ray/eye certifications for one service dog. DG also held an extremely successful Anchor Splash on March 24. Proceeds will benefit Service for Sight. The Epsilon Beta chapter celebrated Founders Day on March 5. We enjoyed this get-together with a brunch, where we were joined by six alumni from the class of 1994. Finally, as part of the Golden Anchor Program, DG has been sending sisters to RiverWoods, a senior living community in Lewisburg. On April 3, Delta Gamma is hosting Desserts with DG. All potential new members are encouraged to come get to know the women of Delta Gamma and enjoy yummy homemade treats!

Kappa Kappa Gamma

The sisters of Kappa Kappa Gamma are so happy to be back on campus after a fun and relaxing spring break. Our annual Ice Cream Social is coming up on April 3 from 6-­8 p.m. in ELC 256, which will be a great time for PNMs to enjoy some delicious ice cream sundaes and get to know the sisters of KKG. We’re also very excited to share that our annual philanthropy event, Kappa Kisses, was a huge success and raised over $500 for Reading Is Fundamental, our biggest donation from Kappa Kisses yet. We’re so proud of our sisters and can’t wait to see what KKG will accomplish next!

Kappa Alpha Theta

We were excited to meet all of the PNMs at our recruitment event, KATea Party, on March 28. We will also be volunteering at Chi Phi’s Special Olympics event on April 10 and are busy getting ready for our own philanthropy events later in April. A portion of the profits from Panera on April 13, Sweet Frog on April 14, and Mercado Burrito on April 16 will go toward our philanthropy, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
