The Bison men’s cross country team went to Penn State for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship on Nov. 11. The Orange and Blue placed sixth out of 22 teams, with Will Bordash ’18 earning All-Region honors with a 20-place finish. Bordash is the Bison’s first All-Region runner since 2012.

Finishing next for the Bison was Luke Giugliano ’17 in 39th place. After Giugliano, the next three Orange and Blue team members to finish the race were Drew Dorflinger ’20 finishing 42nd, Jacob Stupak ’20 taking 44th, and Ben Siciliano ’20 in 48th. Chad Sussman ’19 crossed the line at 50th, while Zach Williams ’18 placed 63rd, giving the Orange and the Blue seven runners in the top half of the participants.

“Our guys ran an incredible race. Placing sixth in the region is our best performance in a very long time and with six of our seven guys returning next year, it shows that we still have more to give if we continue to grow. Our freshmen ran very tough and placed as some of the best in the region. Patriot leagues was disappointing and an under-performance for this team and we wanted to go out and show what type of team we really are, so it was satisfying to end the season in this fashion,” Bordash said.

After finishing up this last meet, the Orange and Blue will now look forward to their first race of 2017.
