Rapper and producer B.o.B. will headline this year’s Fall Fest on Friday, Sept. 15th on the Sojka Lawn, sponsored by the Campus Activities and Programs (CAP) Center. B.o.B. is famous for platinum selling hits “Airplanes”, “Nothin’ on You”, “Magic”, and “So Good.”

This year’s event will follow in the footsteps of past years in its carnival theme with traditional lawn games, a giant slide, mechanical bulls, a ferris wheel, a 90-foot obstacle course, and “The Adrenalater,” inspired by the TV show “American Ninja Warrior”. For the first time, the event will also feature a customized geo-tag on the Snapchat app.

The annual barbecue meal will be available to students with a meal plan or credit card in addition to  a multitude of free food options. Students can expect the Flying Bison’s famous nacho tots, fresh fruit kabobs, fried food items, cotton candy, and cool pops, along with some healthier options.

Beginning at 5 p.m., University students will open Fall Fest before B.o.B. takes the stage. Music from Goat Melodies (Amarachi Ekekwe ’18), the Buck’s Orchestra, Walker Hall (Erik Hoffer ’20 and band), Lindsey Ferguson ’18, Allen Taylor ’19, Tyler DiBartolo ’19, Reginald Nelson ’18, and Mansa K. (Kwaku Amponsah ’19) will ensure a music-filled event.

“Being able to perform at Fall Fest is allowing me to move closer and closer to my dream of performing in front of sold out crowds,” Ekekwe said.

“[Fall Fest] provides a very unique experience. The passion and drive of the students is what motivates me to do what I do, and Fall Fest is just another example of this,” Director of Campus Activities and Student Organizations Mike Duignan said.

Fall Fest has featured performers like Jesse McCartney, Andy Grammer, Matt and Kim, and 3OH!3 in previous years.
