Student Lectureship series welcomes: Chelsea Handler

Julie Spierer, Special Features Editor

The University welcomes American comedian, actress, writer, television host, and producer Chelsea Handler for a “fireside chat” on the evening of April 3. The evening will consist of humorous discussions about current cultural and political matters. The Lectureship Committee encourages students to submit questions of any type and subject matter, to help guide Handler’s discussion to include topics that University students are interested in.

Handler recently finished her show on Netflix — Chelsea — which focused mainly upon the same issues that she will address in her discussion this year. In order to tour the country and facilitate discussions centered upon social activism, Handler has taken a year off from her work.

Free tickets are available for the University community on the day of the lecture from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. April 3 at the CAP center, Weis Center, and online. Additionally, 100 tickets will be reserved for the general public and can be picked up the day of the event at the Weis Center. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m.
