Julien Davenport makes additional contribution to Heiter Center

Elizabeth Worthington, Editor-in-Chief

In the most recent issue of The Bucknellian, we reported on Houston Texans rookie and University alumnus Julién Davenport ’17’s visit to the University on March 1 to help fundraise for the Donald Heiter Community Center’s (DHCC) new roof. After already raising $5,000 through his fundraising efforts, Davenport himself donated an additional $5,000 last week to help replace the leaky roof.

The children of the DHCC presented Davenport with a painting as a token of their gratitude. Members of the DHCC Board of Directors Rob Antanitis, Cookie Connolly, and Youth Programmer Jeffrey Levitan took part in the check presentation with Davenport.

The DHCC is a non-profit organization located in downtown Lewisburg that “strives to be the hub of community activity,” according to its website, primarily focusing on the community’s youth.
