President Donald Trump sent CIA director Mike Pompeo on a secret mission to North Korea on Easter weekend to meet with Kim Jong-un. Trump confirmed that the meeting occurred via Twitter. Pompeo went in preparation for Trump’s meeting with Kim Jong-un. No sitting president has ever met, or spoken over the phone, with a North Korean leader to date.
