Mark Cuban, famed owner of the Dallas Mavericks, has agreed to donate $10 million to women’s groups following a Sports Illustrated investigation which exposed multiple instances of sexual harassment and other inappropriate and hostile workplace conduct within the Mavericks organization under Cuban’s leadership.

 

Hurricane Florence hit the Carolinas late last week, resulting in record-breaking rainfall, at least 37 deaths, and over $17 billion in damages. Major concern has been centered on lagoons of overflowing pig waste due to the storm.

 

International:

 

North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un and South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in announced during a joint news conference on Sept. 19 that North Korea would take actions towards denuclearization.

 

The current trade war between China and the United States, the two largest economies in the world, is at the start of a new economic Cold War that could continue for years after the Trump Administration, as reported by The New York Times on Sept. 19.
