Amazing: Biden wears rainbow pin while allowing conversion therapy

For those of you who let this election pass you by because you don’t think there is any distinguishable difference between U.S. President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, you could not be more wrong. The fact that two old, straight, white men appear indistinguishable in their values to some is disgusting and embarrassing.

Sure, they had a stand-off in a debate about who hates the environment the most when it comes to fracking just to secure a few extra votes. And yes, they both are most definitely at least extremely creepy with women, if not worse. Also, they are similarly both super pumped about the police and absolutely will not even consider supporting defunding them because, you know, white men.

But you know where the real difference lies? Before Biden would ever think about continuing to allow mass incarceration of Black men, he is going to post a picture of a black square on his Instagram so you know he is woke. He may sit in the White House while conversion camps are still active in the United States, but you can bet your bottom he’s going to be wearing a cute little rainbow pin in his complacency.

They may both be in the pockets of the one percent and refuse to give a hoot about any of us common folk, but at least Biden can stomach the idea of liking minority groups for the public optics. And while he is absolutely still a racist person, at least he isn’t endorsed by the KKK, so it’s a little less obvious.

And isn’t that what America is all about? Pretending to make amends with historically marginalized groups through performative activism while still oppressing them through capitalist schemes has been done for so long, and when someone like Trump begins to blatantly show disdain towards those groups, we must draw the line. I hope you voted for someone who hides their discrimination to the greatest degree, so we can all continue to pretend it doesn’t exist.
