This past weekend, the Bison Women’s Soccer team had two memorable home game victories versus Colorado College and Air Force. They began their weekend on Thursday, Sept. 7 when they beat Colorado College 5-2.

It was a close game throughout the entire first half until defender Meghan White ’26 scored in the second half of the game putting Bucknell in the lead. Soon after, midfielder Teresa Deda ’25 scored two more goals ensuring a Bison victory. Although Colorado College had a quick goal off a corner kick in the first minute of the game, Deda saved the day with an assist to senior defender Eva Frankovic ’24.

With the Tigers and Bison continuing the even fight, the Tigers finally won out in the 51st minute with a long free kick making the score 2-1. Not long after, Deda had another assist leading to an own goal by the Tigers tying the game up at 2-2.

Soon after, White made her stunning go-ahead goal followed by Deda’s two skilled goals to secure the win. Goalie, Jenna Hall ’24 ended the night with five saves.

Sunday, Sept. 10, the Bison took another home victory number two at their home game against Air Force. Just 90 seconds into the game, midfielder Reese Evans ’25 sent a pass to White, assisting Hannah Stuck ’24 in her header goal.

It wasn’t until the 77th minute that the Air Force got their chance and Hailey Ramos scored their first goal of the game off a corner kick. With only six minutes left of the game, the Bison stepped up and Evans scored after three missed attempts. Hall once again ended the night with five total saves.

The Bison currently hold onto a record of 5-2-1. They look to continue improving their record as they take on Colgate in Hamilton, N.Y. this Saturday.
