Women’s Golf places fourth in Hornet Classic

Women’s Golf competed in the Hornet Classic, hosted by Delaware State University at Kings Creek Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, Del. The Bison played two rounds on Monday and a third round on Tuesday, landing a fourth-place team finish out of 14 teams. This is the team’s fourth top-five finish in a row.

Paige Richter ’26 led the team with a solo tenth-place finish, carding 74, 74, 75 across the 54-hole event. Richter made three birdies en route to a -1 back nine on day two of the event. 

Katherine Vice ’27 etched a 75 on day two, her college career best. Vice finished T33 for the tournament. Cristina Canales ’24 and Sofia Nogalo ’27 each went into the clubhouse with 80s in the final round. Canales and Nogalo would finish T31 and 28th respectively.

Women’s Golf heads to Boardman, Ohio next to compete in the Roseann Schwartz Invitational hosted by Youngstown State University. The event will take place from Sept. 23-24 at Mill Creek Golf Club North.
