Women’s Golf competed in the Navy Fall Invitational this past weekend. It was another competitive weekend for the squad as they finished T4 on the team leaderboard with 15 teams competing, finishing just behind Navy, Towson and Howard.

It wasn’t as smooth of an event as the team has been used to, as they fell behind almost out of the top 10 heading into the final round. But, a late final round surge by the ladies soared the Bison up the leaderboard.

“The team had very high spirits throughout the tournament even though the course was playing super tough, and we were able to post three scores in the 70s which majorly contributed to our team moving up in the leaderboard. We focused a lot on not making any big mistakes which led to better scores in our final round,” said Paige Richter ’26.

Sofia Nogalo ’27, reigning Patriot League Golfer of the Week, nailed a couple late-round birdies to post a 74 and secure her third top 10 individual finish of the season. Richter and Nicole Yun ’27 also aided the Bison in their final round surge, as they carded a final round 79 and 76 respectively. These were the only Bison to finish in the top 45 individually.
