This past weekend, the Bison Men’s Swimming team bested Patriot League opponents Holy Cross and Boston University in meets on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

John Gehrig ’24 and Jackson Vinarub ’26 put up strong performances both days, earning themselves Patriot League Men’s Swimmer and Men’s Diver of the week awards.

On Friday, the Bison earned their seventh consecutive win against Holy Cross by a tally of 186-112, placing first in 11 of 16 events.  Notably, Finn Russell ’27 and Drew Greene ’27 took home first in the 50m and 100m freestyle races, respectively, earning themselves wins in their first collegiate meets.

On Saturday, the Bison placed first in 10 of 16 events, winning by a score of 173.5-124.5 against Boston University.  John Gehrig ’24 continued a strong weekend by placing first in three events after winning two the day prior.  Jackson Vinarub ’26 also had an impressive day Saturday, taking first place in both the one meter and three meter dives.  His score of 289.65 on the one meter dives secured him a place in the Bucknell record books as the third best score in Bucknell history in the event.
