Sunday was also a winning day for the Orange and Blue. The Bison went 13-1 in singles and 2-0 in doubles. Allen and King continued their doubles streak against Millersville with a 3-0 win.
They continued their singles winning streak as well. “My favorite moment from the tournament was my final match,” Allen shared. “I put a lot of pressure on myself to win this match, so I was super tight in the first set and lost it. I was able to turn the match around and win the second set and tiebreaker. This match was a major accomplishment for me.”
Mirra Manolov ’26 and Natalie Devraj ’28 also contributed to the doubles wins with a victory against Lafayette, 6-0. Manolov finished her singles matches with a 2-1 record to conclude her weekend. Devraj started her Bucknell season opener by going 3-0 in singles play. Jennings, King and Caroline Marcus ’25 went 2-0 with singles wins on Sunday.
“This opening weekend set up a great attitude for the rest of the season. I was undefeated this weekend, which has definitely given me some confidence for the season to follow,” Allen said. “And as a team, this weekend made me very hopeful for our spring season because our team was very successful.”
Bison Women’s Tennis will continue their season on Friday, Sept. 20, at the Saint Joseph’s Invitational.
