Athlete of the Week: Catherine Jamison ’23

Senior Catherine Jamison proudly earned the award of Bison of the Week after the Bucknell Invitation against the College of William and Mary, Cornell University and Princeton University.

In the Bison’s match against William and Mary, Jamison was able to keep the Bison afloat with her game-high of 17 kills. The Bison were evenly matched, but the Griffins were able to pull out the win. Jamison’s 17 kills and an incredible .500 hitting percentage in just this game, though, allowed the Bison to tie up the game in the second period.

The next day, the Bison faced Cornell. Jamison, the team’s fearless leader had another 17 kills, but added two blocks and a .333 hitting percentage. This was the 1st time since 2013 that the Bison had defeated Cornell.

Concluding this invitational, Jamison was named to the Bucknell Invitation All-Tournament Team, leading the Bison with 61 total career kills. She also sits ninth in the Patriot League with an average of 3.05 kills per set and 10th in points with 3.35 points per set.
