Bison Athlete of The Week: Aleksa Stefanovic ’26

After an impressive showing in his games against George Washington and Johns Hopkins, Aleksa Stefanovic ’26 has been named Bison of the Week. Stefanovic finished the weekend with a team-high of nine goals, five of which came in the game against George Washington.

The Bison came from behind to win both their matches this past weekend, with help from Stefanovic. In their first match, Stefanovic helped fuel the comeback in the final quarters. He tallied three of the Bison’s final five goals, two of which were buzzer beaters to tie the game at the end of the third and the go-ahead goal with less than six minutes left in regulation.

Later in the day against Johns Hopkins Stefanovic continued to shine, helping the Bison secure a late game victory.

Stefanovic currently holds a team-high of 18 goals on the season. Last season, he led with 72 goals, was named to the Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference and was a MAWPC Rookie of the Tournament honoree.

Stefanovic and the rest of the Bison Men’s Water Polo team currently hold a record of 5-7 and look to improve upon this at No. 19 Navy this weekend.
