Women’s XC places fourth at Patriot League Championships

Women’s Cross Country competed in the Patriot League Championship race this weekend along with the men’s squad, and it was a rousing success. The women’s team finished fourth overall on the leaderboard.

The squad was led by Abby Paczewski ’24, who finished in eighth place with a time of 22:31.5, earning All-Patriot League Second Team honors. This was quite the farewell tour for Paczewski, as she finished 32nd in 2022 and ended the race in 2023 two seconds away from grabbing All-Patriot League First Team honors.

Lauren Trapani ’25 came in 15th place with a time of 22:49.1, followed by Keeley Misutka ’25 (23:05.4) in 20th place and Kailey Granger ’27 (23:10.7) coming in 22nd place in her Conference Championship debut.

Paczewski and Trapani were the only non-Navy, Boston University or Army runners to finish in the top 15.

“Just being a senior, my motivation and determination is at a whole new level,” Paczewski said, “I wanted to make the most of my last year at Bucknell and see what I can accomplish.”

The Bison compete next on Nov. 10 when they head to the Mid-Atlantic Regionals in Bethlehem, Pa.
