
Wade Shomper ’26 earned his second career Bison of the Week award following a record-setting performance at the Penn Classic. Shomper reset the Bucknell record in the shot put, affirming his status as one of the most talented throwers in Bison history.
Shomper finished in second place at the Penn Classic with his record-breaking throw of 58-7.25. This second attempt of his surpassed his previous best of 57-8.25.
All four of his countable tosses were above 53 feet, three of which surpassed 56. His record puts him first in the Patriot League, sixth in the Mid-Atlantic region, and 65th nationally. Shomper holds both the indoor and outdoor shot put records at Bucknell.
