Bravman’s new band tops the charts after electric Bucknell Refresh performance

Welcome back, Bucknellians! After a long and relaxing summer break, students bounced right back into their old routines as classes started up again. Last Saturday, to celebrate a successful first week of classes, Bucknell hosted its annual Bucknell Refresh event on Sojka lawn.

Conveniently taking place during prime post-super dinner time, Refresh featured 14 free food trucks for students to sample from. There were Spikeball nets, bubble wands, and even free Bucknell merch all for the students to enjoy. The most popular attraction, however, was none of these mentioned above. This was because students couldn’t peel their eyes away from the Bucknell Refresh stage.

Standing front and center, sporting a custom leather jacket made at the 7th Street Makerspace and a luscious purple mohawk, was President Bravman himself. On the back of his jacket, the band name “Bravtallica” glistened in metallic silver ink. The spotlights were pointed towards the stage, and Bravman grabbed the microphone. It was time for Bravtallica to perform their newest hit single, “Punk President Anthem.”

“In the world of academia, rebellion’s not taught.

But I’m the president with punk spirit, I’m caught!

My tie is out the window, sweater vests are no more.

Here’s the rock anthem that Bravtallica’s got in store!

From boardroom to stage, I defy every norm.

Uniting Bucknell in a punk anthem storm!

No diplomas are needed, just passion and fire.

Punk’s in my heart, and it’s the rhythm I desire!

I’m president by day, but musician in the flesh.

Gracing all your ears at Bucknell Refresh!

I hope you all enjoy this thrilling story that I tell.

’Ray the orange and blue and rock on, Bucknell!”

Needless to say, Bucknellians went WILD! Bravman took a bow along with his drummer, Dean of Admissions Kevin Mathes. Their guitarist, Yung Gravy (who still hasn’t left Bucknell since the spring) had already hopped offstage to get a girl’s number.

What Bucknellians didn’t know was that Yung Gravy’s producer, Old Mustard had recorded the entire performance to support his client. Mustard uploaded the video to YouTube, and it racked up over 43 million views overnight! Elated with this success, Bravtallica professionally recorded “Punk President Anthem” in Mustard’s studio.

Now, the anthem holds the #1 spot on the punk music charts internationally! The band has been gaining so much attention, Taylor Swift recently asked if Bravtallica would open for her for the rest of the Eras Tour. All three members of Bravtallica quickly agreed, and they plan to leave on tour next month.
