Softball fell to the Boston Terriers in both games last Friday at Boston, by run-rule: 15-0 (5) and 9-0 (5). On Saturday, the Bison were defeated again, 15-0 (5).
In the first game, the Terriers scored in every inning, leading to the 15-0 run-rule. Sarah Zimmerman ’27 started in the circle for the Bison; Nina Barrouk ’29 entered the circle in the second inning. After being up 9-0 going into the fourth inning, the Terriers added six more runs in the fourth inning to induce a run-rule victory.
In game two, Avery Powers ’29 got the start, but the Terriers’ offense continued its momentum and led to their second run-rule victory of the day. In both games, the Terriers hit a grand slam. In game three, Mea Consentino ’26 received the start, and Payton Hale ’28 entered the circle in the second.
After the Terriers loaded the bases in the third, Barrouk entered the circle for the Bison. However, the Bison could not extend the game, and the Terriers swept the series.
The Bison travel to Lafayette for a three-game series this weekend.
