Bucknell Men’s Golf kicked off its fall season in the Alex Lagowitz Memorial on Sept. 6 and 7, hosted by Colgate at Seven Oaks Golf Club.
The Bison set themselves towards the top of the leaderboard early with a first round team score of 286 (-2). Jack Hartman ’28 and Taylor Kuehn ’27 led the way, each with an opening-round 71 (-1). Hartman notched three birdies on the back nine and Kuehn birdied three of his first seven holes of the day.
The second round was suspended due to darkness, so the remainder of the second round and final round were both played on Sunday. The Orange and Blue were sitting at +1 as a team entering the suspension and -1 for the tournament, good for third in the team standings.
Hartman again led the way for the Bison in the third round, carding an even par 72 to finish -2 for the event, which was good for a third place finish on the individual leaderboard. The reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year was one of four players to finish under par.
Kuehn and Hayden Quinn ’26 each shot 74 in the final round, while Patrick Pritsios ’28 carded a final round 75 to set the Bison team total at +9 for the tournament. The Bison finished in a tie for fourth place with Saint Joseph’s on the team leaderboard.
Behind Hartman, Kuehn finished T16 on the individual leaderboard with a total score of +3. James Robbins ’26 followed with a T21 finish individually at +4.
Next up for the Bison is the Blue Hen Invitational, hosted by the University of Delaware, on Sept. 15 and Sept. 16. The event will be played at White Clay Creek Country Club in Wilmington, DE.
