Men’s Golf competed in the Loyola Intercollegiate this past week from Feb. 15 to Feb. 17. The Bison compiled a final team tally of 297, finishing in 19th place out of 20 teams.
On day one, James Robbins ’26 led the group with a one-under-par score of 71. The senior began his round on the 10th hole and made three birdies in a four-hole span to get out to a red-hot start.
Patrick Pritsios ’28 followed behind with a 73 of his own. Jack Hartman ’28 trailed with a 74 and Hayden Quinn ’26, along with Henry Bolster ’29, carded 77s. The Bison entered the second day of the three-day event in 16th place.
Hartman was the star of the show on the second day at Palm Valley Golf Club, leading the Bison with a three-under-par score of 69. He made five birdies on the front nine en route to helping the Bison shave five strokes off their first-round team score.
Pritsios trailed Hartman with a score of 72, followed by Robbins with a 73 and Quinn with a 76. Despite Hartman’s solid day, the Orange and Blue dropped to 18th place in the team standings.
On the final day of the event, Hartman once again led the way with another under-par round, notching a 71 to finish two-under-par for the tournament.
Robbins tallied an eagle on the 14th hole for the second day in a row, ending his final round with a score of 75. Pritsios also went for a 75, followed by Quinn with a 76.
The Bison finished in 19th place, only in front of Patriot League competitor Holy Cross. Hartman was the low Bison for the week, finishing T30 on the individual leaderboard. Robbins finished T68, Pritsios finished T75 and Quinn finished T112.
Next up for the Orange and Blue is UC San Diego Invitational at Torrey Pines South from March 22-24.
