Bucknell Men’s Golf spent this past weekend competing in The Goat, hosted by Navy. The Orange and Blue went through a tumultuous 54 holes, finishing the event in 14th place on the team leaderboard out of 16 programs.
After a slow start in round one, the Bison got back on track in the second round of the day. Jack Hartman ’28 and Taylor Kuehn ’27 both tallied even-par rounds of 71 in the second round of day one to boost the Bison back up the leaderboard. Hartman led the way in the first round of the day as well with a 77 (+6).
Hartman, Kuehn and Patrick Pritsios ’28 all carded three birdies in the second round of the first day of the event. Hartman was the low Bison after the first day, with a total score of +6 to put him in 31st place on the individual leaderboard heading into the final 18 holes the next day.
On Sunday the Orange and Blue finished the tournament with their final 18 holes. Unfortunately, the Bison couldn’t find the magic from the second round to continue to bolster their position on the leaderboard.
Hartman shot a final round score of 75 (+4). Pritsios and Henry Bolster ’29 followed up, each with 77s (+6). Kuehn brought up the rear in the final round with a 78.
Hartman finished the event T30 on the individual leaderboard, with a final tally of +10. Kuehn followed up in T50 at +14. Pritsios finished 65th and Bolster finished 71st, with the two athletes carding total scores of +18 and +20, respectively.
