Field Hockey traveled to Towson to take on the Tigers on Sunday, Oct. 19. The Orange and Blue emerged victorious with a comeback victory thanks to a hat trick from Kira Leclercq ’26. The game ended 4-2 in favor of the Bison.
Leclercq started her scoring in the third period with a penalty corner shot. Two more penalty goals brought her to the second hat trick of her career. The three scores brought the senior to ten goals on the season, the first double-digit season record of her career, and two away from the all-time top ten.
The game started with a goal from the Tigers, which would be the only one in the first quarter. The Bison fought back in the second with Katie Lintz ’27 tying up the game. Sally Hunter ’28 gave the assist into shooting range, where Lintz was able to knock it into the back of the net.
The score stood at 1-1 going into halftime. Just four minutes into the third quarter, the Orange and Blue hit one of their 11 penalty shots of the game. Starting with Hunter, who gave it to Nicky Punt ’26 who passed it to Leclercq for the goal. Just seven minutes later, Leclercq scored another penalty corner to make it two goals for the period.
The fourth quarter held another penalty shot from Leclercq to bring the Bison’s total to four for the match. Towson came back with another point, but with only 2 minutes left in the game, they were unable to catch up to the Orange and Blue.
The Bison return home to Holmes Stadium to take on Davidson on Saturday, Oct. 26 at noon.
