The Bison had two games this past week: first away against Lock Haven, and then back home in Lewisburg to take on Davidson. The Orange and Blue came away with victories from both matchups bringing their record to 9-6 for the season and 3-2 in the Patriot League conference.
The Bison traveled first to Lock Haven to take on the Bald Eagles. The game resulted in a 4-0 win for the Orange and Blue, each point scored by a different player. The team had 22 shots on goal (31 overall) and 13 total penalty corners.
The first quarter saw no points scored by either team. The second period looked very similar until Nicky Punt ’26 scored with just three minutes remaining until halftime. Kira Leclercq ’26 aided with an assist to Punt, who sent it to the back of the net. The Bison extended their lead less than 2 minutes into the third quarter. After a deflected shot, Gracie Kothari ’29 was able to recover and secure another point for the Orange and Blue.
The fourth quarter was a strong one for the Bison who achieved two more goals. In the 47th minute with Kothari and Katie Lintz ’27 making a breakaway. Kothari set up the assist for Lintz who had another tally to the scoreboard for the Orange and Blue. Just three minutes later Reese Czajkowski ’28 secured the last point of the game for the Bison with an assist from Jip Zwaard ’29.
With five minutes remaining Abby Zanelli ’28 was substituted in as goalie. The Orange and Blue held strong, preventing the Bald Eagles from adding any points of their own. The Bison came away with the 4-0 victory.
The Orange and Blue returned home on Sunday for their senior night against Davidson. The single point victory for the Bison was brought largely from defense from goalie Sarah Althouse ’27 as well as Brooke Parker ’29 and Leclercq.
The only goal of the game began with a penalty corner from Czajkowski. The shot was blocked but recovered by Ryane Fisahn ’27 who brought it past the goalie. Despite heavy pressure, the Orange and Blue held strong against the Wildcats. The score stood at 1-0 when the final buzzer sounded.
The Bison hope to bring their season wins to double digits in the final game of the season against Lehigh next Saturday, Nov. 1.
