Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams earned nine wins at the Bucknell Fall Invitational in Kinney Natatorium on Saturday.
The Bison, coming off strong starts to their season where they picked up three wins against Patriot League rivals, competed against Seton Hall and Binghamton in a non-scored meet.
For the women, it was the freshmen that led the way, as Tessa Feld ’29 and Kennedy DeVeaux ’29 claimed gold in the 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard freestyle respectively. Clara Renner ’28, reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year, took home the 400-yard IM in 4:21.71 and found second place in the 200-yard breaststroke. Jennifer Bolden ’26 also netted a gold and silver finish on the day, winning the 100-yard freestyle and getting second in the 500-yard freestyle. The Orange and Blue also found success in the relays, as the team of Virginia Hastings ’27, Kyla Kelly ’26, Sara Ketron ’27 and Tori Castro-Gutierrez ’29 claimed the top spot in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
For the men, Riley Twiss ’27 and Jackson Vinarub ’26 were the sole first-place finishers for the Bison. Twiss was first in the 200-yard butterfly, putting down a time of 1:50.97 to win by over a second. Vinarub netted the Orange and Blue’s first diving win of the season, scoring 291.65 to claim the top spot in the 1-meter dive, narrowly beating out teammate Jack Krug ’26 in third place.
