Football closed out its 2025 regular season with a road matchup against Colgate, where the Bison fell 38-19. The Orange and Blue finish out the regular season with a 5-7 overall record and a 2-5 record in conference play.
Nicholas Penuvchev ’29 got his first career start against the Raiders, going 5-of-12 passing for 39 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions.
Colgate set the tone with a bang, connecting on a 67-yard touchdown on the second play of the contest to take a 7-0 lead. Every first quarter possession for the Bison resulted in a punt, and the Raiders found the end zone one more time to take a 14-0 led heading into the second quarter.
The Bison then got into the end zone itself on a 17-play, 77-yard drive capped off by a five-yard touchdown pass from Penuvchev to Josh Gary ’26 to bring the Bison within a score. Colgate stood its ground defensively to separate itself through the rest of the first half, as the Raiders tacked on 10 unanswered points to go up 24-7.
The Orange and Blue still couldn’t generate any rhythm offensively while Colgate put up seven more points to enter the final 15 minutes up 31-7.
Sam Milligan ’27 got the Bison into the end zone with a two-yard rush to conclude a seven-play drive, and Michael Cadden ’28 ended his sophomore campaign on a high note, rushing for a 28-yard touchdown to give the Bison one more.
The Orange and Blue ends the season dropping five of their final six games.
