This past Sunday, Oct. 1, Men’s Water Polo lost 15-10 against Navy, losing their three-game consecutive winning streak.
Despite losing by five, the score was back and forth for the majority of the game, with the Bison and Midshipmen being tied 9-9 a minute into the fourth quarter. However, in the remainder of the fourth quarter Navy scored five consecutive goals to secure their lead and ultimate win.

In the first quarter Hasan Mogultay ’25 scored his first two of five goals to put Bucknell up 2-1; however, going into the second quarter the teams were tied 3-3. The Orange and Blue led 4-3 after Shay Gillearn ’25 scored in the second quarter, but they ended the half down by two.

In the third quarter the Midshipmen led by four, until the Bison took advantage of having some extra-man opportunities, as well as a penalty shot, to go on a run and eventually bring the score to 9-8 Mids, thanks to goals from Mogultay, Andu Vlasceanu ’24 and Maxime Touzot ’26.

After the Bison’s early goal in the fourth quarter to tie the game they were soon falling behind as the Midshipmen continued to find the back of the net.
