Wrestling traveled to Navy and then Columbia over the weekend for two matches. A very busy few days for the Bison, and they would fall to both squads.

The Bison first took on Navy on Saturday on the road, a team that had just dropped out of the Top 25 of the EIWA. It was a rough outing for the Bison, as they fell 34-7.

The Orange and Blue stayed in contention during the first half of the match, led by a major decision for Logan Deacetis ’25 and Kade Davidheiser ’27 grinding out an overtime victory.

Deacetis has now earned his 17th win of the season and has scored bonus points for the Bison in six of his last eight matches.

Kurt Phipps ’24 saw his 17-bout win streak finally come to an end after a long fight but an eventual overtime loss, 3-1.

Next, the Bison traveled to New York to take on Columbia on Sunday and suffered another loss, 25-13.

Columbia brought in three nationally-ranked guys in the match, and these wrestlers sparked a 12-0 run to eventually put this one out of reach after the Bison kept itself close the entire time.

Dorian Crosby ’24 got the Bison on the board first with an 18-4 victory, and Phipps got back on track with an 8-2 victory after coming off of a loss the day before.

Riley Bower ’26 and Aiden Davis ’27 also notched overtime wins, but it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback against the talented Ivy League powerhouse.

The Bison travel to Bethlehem, PA on February 9th to take on Lehigh next.
